MODERN ARTIFACTS is new jewelry being created in bronze by Betsy Ratzsch in her new jewelry studio. Bronze is a very ancient metal but lends itself to contemporary designs in jewelry.
Rings are best tired on in the gallery. Ring fit is a very personal thing, depending on width, ornamentation and texture. Designs vary from plain to ornate texture or sculpted decoration.
Necklaces are composed of a bronze feature piece enhanced with small beads for a comfortable fit. Each once is different. Many necklaces have handmade clasps rather than manufactured closures.
